I. The First Should Of The Wood...Shed; Don't Despise It.
(vs.5a) "My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord ..."
(vs.7) "...endure chastening ..."
II. The Second Should Of The Wood...Shed; Don't Quit It.
(vs.5b) "Nor faint when thou art rebuked of him ..."

III. The Third Should Of The Wood...Shed; Endure it.
(vs.7) "If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as sons ..."
(vs.11) "Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yielded the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby."
Job 5:17 - "Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth;
therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty."
