A 5-10 Year Plan

Introduction
Leaders are continually lead by the vision or plan that God has given them for any particular people. Moses had a vision to lead the children of Israel from captivity, Nehemiah to rebuild the walls, and David to build the temple. The list could continue including God the Father's plan to redeem mankind trough the Blood of Jesus Christ.
I have found that a well communicated and administered plan creates enthusiasm, gives a sense of direction, and a gauge to measure progress.
God has given me a vision for the Double Branch FWB Church. I believe, that the following in part, is what He would have us
accomplish together over the next 5-10 years.
Time Table and Plan 1-5 Years
· Leadership refresher seminars for Deacons, Lay leaders and Staff held annually.
· Marriage and Family Retreat to strengthen marriage and child/parent relationship annually.
· Christian education seminar emphasizing Sunday School, VBS, and better ways to equip the teacher for this ministry annually.
· Recruit heavily those inactive on the church roll by follow up on a regular basis.
· Assist new members and current members to discover their spiritual gifts and talents. Then help them find their place in the churches' ministry through teams and committees that will accommodate these gifts (i.e. Hospitality Committee, outreach committee, Follow-up Team, Community Involvement Team.)
· Question and Answer (Town Hall) meeting once a month for entire church family. This gives the church the opportunity to ask questions like: "Where is the church headed ?" and "What are the needs of the church?" It offers a time where the church can express its concerns and receive explanations making them feel their input an needs are important.
· The pulpit ministry will emphasize spiritual healing, exhortation to become actively involved in the church's ministries and evangelism.
· Raise the community awareness of Double Branch FWB Church by becoming more involved in community events, advertising and good deeds (i.e. Community Involvement Team.)
· Hire a full-time secretary.
· Increase church attendance to 20% by 2007.
5-10 Years
· Offer a full-time position in Youth /Children' s Ministry- a full-time Youth Pastor can devote the time needed for outreach, discipleship, programs and activities expected by youth and the parents of young children today.
· Offer a full-time position in music ministry- a full-time music minister can have multiple choirs and ensembles for all ages and additional instrumentalists. He can give the worship ministry of the church his full attention.
· Offer a full-time position for an assistant pastor -anticipated growth will require 2 full-time pastors for outreach, discipleship, and new opportunities for ministry the church will have.
· Advertising budget for radio, TV, newspapers, and Community fliers.
· Increase Church attendance by an additional 20% by 2012.
Note: When God gives a man a vision, it must bring glory to God, exhort the saints, and cause dependence upon God only in order to accomplish it.

The mission of the Double Branch Free Will Baptist Church is to win people to Christ and disciple them to Christian maturity. Matthew 28:19-20

The goal of the Double Branch Free Will Baptist Church is two-fold:
1. To be more in our personal relationship with God.
2. To do more outreach and discipleship in the community. (Matthew 28:19-20)
